A Silver Mt. Zion - “Microphones in the Trees”
“Microphones in the trees
Cameras in the sky
Antennas in the canyons
And the lobby’s full of spies
For us who are like bulldozers
Sleeping in the sun
For us who are like lightning
Buried in the mud
Don’t give up
Don’t give in
Our time will come
Because we are the flood”

Woodpigeon - “Our Love is as Tall as the Calgary Tower” from the album Die Stadt Muzikanten
All I want to know, is if I go,
would you even know at all
Would you even take note,
that I’m leaving you alone
It’s not that I don’t want this,
It’s not that I don’t care
I’ll be honest with you though,
I don’t want you to go anywhere
Baby all the things we made,
running off like so much rain
In my final verse,
All I got is two more words,
that I won’t sing lately,
don’t go
don’t go
You don’t need to worry,
I’m not packing yet
You used to be my starbus,
something changing me the day we met
Baby they said love does fade,
but in this case I say, whose change?
Baby all that’s left to say,
is I think you’re really great

Perhaps not to be is to be without your being by Pablo Neruda
Perhaps not to be is to be without your being,
without your going, that cuts noon light
like a blue flower, without your passing
later through fog and stones,
without the torch you lift in your hand
that others may not see as golden,
that perhaps no one believed blossomed
the glowing origin of the rose,
without, in the end, your being, your coming
suddenly, inspiringly, to know my life,
blaze of the rose-tree, wheat of the breeze:
and it follows that I am, because you are:
it follows from ‘you are’, that I am, and we:
and, because of love, you will, I will,
We will, come to be.
- Pablo Neruda from ‘Cien sonetos de amor’

Autumn
The leaves are falling, falling as if from far up
as if orchards were dying high in space.
Each leaf falls as if it were motioning “no.”
And tonight the heavy earth is falling
away from all other stars in the loneliness.
We’re all falling. This hand here is falling.
And look at the other one. It’s in them all.
And yet there is Someone, whose hands
infinitely calm, holding up all this falling.
-Rainer Maria Rilke
